invites you with its
115 m² to a magical holiday for up to 5 people.

  • As a tribute to the origins of our house, we named our apartments after the plants that were probably on display in the orangery at that time. The pomelo tree (French: Le Pamplemoussier) .... Read more here.

The pam is probably one of the oldest known citrus fruits and came to China from the Malay region.

There are still quite a few people who confuse the grapefruit with the pomelo or think it is the same fruit with a different name. Strictly speaking, the grapefruit is the mother of all citrus fruits. The orange originated from the cross between the grapefruit and the mandarin, the grapefruit in turn originated from the cross between the grapefruit and the orange.

Many of the citrus fruits we know today were created by crossing with the grapefruit.  So this rhombic plant has quite a branched family history.

The trees of the grapefruit grow up to 15 metres high, have large, evergreen leaves and even thorns on the leaf axils. The Latin name of the grapefruit is "citrus maxima" and literally means "largest lemon", but can of course also be truthfully and freely translated as the largest citrus fruit. The fruits can reach a diameter of up to 30 centimetres and a weight of up to six kilograms.

Grapefruits, whose name was taken from Dutch, are round to pear-shaped fruits that resemble a small flattened ball and therefore appear somewhat misshapen. They have a yellow to yellow-green, very thick skin of about 1.5 centimetres, which can, however, be peeled easily.

The apartment owes its historic charm to its rustic ceiling planks resting on four granite pillars and its typical regional walls in Gardon stones.

The ground floor apartment has 2 bedrooms, an open plan living room with a comfortable sofa area, a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table.

Next to it is a spacious modern bathroom with sink and dressing table, a separate shower room and separate WC.

The first bedroom with its French double bed invites you to a restful night for two people. An old desk completes the warm atmosphere of the room.

The second bedroom, with three single beds and a large wardrobe, promises restful nights. Thanks to its location on the ground floor, extra wide bedroom doors and a modern and spacious bathroom, this home is perfectly equipped for people in wheelchairs.
